These are just a few of our favourites.

WITHIN THE CAMP

  • We love it when people gather and connect. Our firepits – once lit by a member of our staff – are the perfect location to get together.
  • A kids playground with slide, seesaw, old tractors and swings
  • A boat ramp for launching your boat or even just to jump off into the cool, clear waters of Lake Hawea
  • Paddleboard, kayak or swim in Lake Hawea.
  • Fish from the rocks. Hire a rod from the shop and fish from the edge of The Camp.
  • Smoke your fish, with the help of our team, once you catch it.
  • Stroll through the trees, listening to birdsong and exploring walkways.
  • Grab something to eat and a coffee from The Camp Food Truck.
  • Book in an amazing hot/cold immersion therapy session at The Secret Sauna!

BIKING AND WALKING NEAR THE CAMP

The Camp is perfectly located near some great biking and walking trails.  We can help you map out the best options for your skills, fitness and duration of stay.  We can also help you extend your stay so you can do them all!

  • Wander over, along the lakefront to The Lake Hawea Hotel or visit Hawea Kitchen & Store
  • Wanaka is only a short 15 minute drive where you will find boutique shopping great eateries
  • Lots of adventures are near by including; skydiving, canyoning, wildwire, jetboating
  • Fancy a lovely lake trip to pigeon island, followed by a wine tasting?

You won’t be stuck with things to do while you stay at The Camp.  It is a great base to rest, relax and explore the local area.
